Rev. Sherrelle E. Jenkins, wife, mother, and Queen-ma, was born, raised, and conducts ministry at New Mickle Baptist Church. Rev. Sherrelle served as President of the Junior Usher Board, sang on the NMBC senior choir, severed as youth Sunday School teacher, Praise Dance ministry, and is the founder and CEO of a grass roots non-profit organization called Gods Gifted Girls (GGG), which was birth out of New Mickle Baptist Church. (GGG) offers mentoring services to inner city youth which focuses in on building self-esteem, living healthy lifestyles, positive socialization skills, culture awareness, and achieving educational short- and long-term goals.

Rev. Sherrelle received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University and her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family from Liberty Christian University. Presently, she works for a residential treatment facility that house young ladies between the ages of 13-21 who struggle with mental health diagnoses and behaviors issues.

Rev. Sherrelle is active in her community and has received numerous acknowledgments, nominations, and rewards. From being honored by the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority for being Woman of the Year, and being nominated for Mother of the Year by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She has also received a proclamation from the state of New Jersey for service and dedication to youth and she also received the Dr. Martin Luther King Freedom Award for focusing on hope and empowerment for the community of Camden City. Additionally, Rev. Sherrelle was honored by the National Council of Negro Women and received the Harambee Award.

Rev. Sherrelle’s mission in life is that her living is not in vain and that she uses all her talents and gifts to advance the kingdom of God and educate everyone she encounters that Jesus saves and restores. She walks by faith and not by sight. She is continuedly empowered by mediation and prayer by standing on the word of God.

Rev. Sherrelle conducts family and marriage counselling, group counselling, grief/bereavement counselling, life coaching, and nurtures the hearts of all she encounters while sharing her favorite Bible verse to all who will listen, Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
